San Diego, Calif., Sept. 30, 2020 – Cronos Consulting Group, Inc. is playing a key role in the United States Navy’s earthquake recovery efforts in Ridgecrest and China Lake, California. Cronos is providing a mechanism that streamlines the procurement of IT resources and significantly speeds up the earthquake recovery process.
The U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) weapons division sought out a collaboration with Cronos after earthquakes devastated California communities in July 2019. Large quantities of tools and equipment needed urgent upgrades, including IT assets, specialized machines, and telecommunications equipment.
Cronos is delivering a wide spectrum of IT solutions that help repair existing resources and devise innovative ways to solve new challenges presented by natural disasters. Assistance from Cronos has been an essential part of maintaining operational continuity as the U.S. Navy assists struggling communities, repairs critical infrastructure, and keeps NAWS China Lake up and running without interruption.
This earthquake relief effort is part of a NAVFAC Southwest capital improvements project targeting certain in-need zones including NAWS China Lake. The project represents a major step forward in a $2 billion rebuilding project to restore mission-capable status to key U.S. locations.
